Hong Kong Electric Vehicle Charging Stations | The number of electric vehicles in Hong Kong has increased exponentially, and the demand for electric vehicle charging stations is naturally high, and there is often competition for charging spaces.Tesla In fact, there are currently 14,553 electric vehicle charging stations, including 9,482 medium-speed charging spots and 2,254 fast-charging spots, across all 18 districts in Hong Kong.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency Announced in June 2025 material Hong Kong currently has 14,553 electric vehicle charging spots. These include Tesla Supercharger and Wall Connector charging spots, as well as over 2,800 slow-charging spots. These are known as BS1363 slow-charging spots, and are the familiar 13A plug-in spots. Because 13A charging is quite slow, only about 10 kilometers of range can be achieved in one hour of charging. Unless a vehicle is parked for several consecutive days, the charging effect is minimal. Therefore, the following charging locations have excluded 13A charging spots, and only medium-speed (primarily IEC 62196 Type 2) and fast-charging stations (including IEC 62196 Type 2, CCS Combo, and CHAdeMo) locations are listed.

A medium-speed charging station refers to a charging station with a rated output power of 2.8 kW or more to 20 kW; a fast-charging station refers to a charging station with a rated output power of 20 kW or more to less than 100 kW; and a high-speed charging station refers to a charging station with a rated power of 100 kW or more.
