ShenZhong Passage | Speed Limit
The ShenZhong Passage spans 24 kilometers, with a maximum speed limit of 100 km/h. It connects Shenzhen, Zhongshan, and Nansha District in Guangzhou. Construction began in December 2016, the mainline was completed in November 2023, and the bridge load testing finished in April 2024, with its official opening on June 30, 2024. On its first day of operation, the passage recorded a traffic volume of 125,000 vehicles.
The passage includes a 6,845-meter-long undersea tunnel, with a 5,035-meter immersed tube section composed of 32 tube sections and one final joint. It is the world’s first eight-lane, bi-directional steel-concrete immersed tube tunnel.

According to the Guangdong Provincial Department of Transportation, the toll fees for private cars with nine or fewer seats are 66 RMB. If using the YueTong Card for payment, a 5% discount is applied, reducing the fee to 62.7 RMB.
